Canadian Cops Are Bred Different
Cops, especially in the United States of America, have been associated with some not-so-great incidents lately, which have led to calls for systemic change. Fortunately, it would appear that Canadian cops are built a bit differently. When the proud dog owner wanted to photograph his dog on a police officer's bike, the cop ran to intervene. However, rather than stopping them, the officer seemed to stop and help the owner get the best possible photo.
The police officer even placed his helmet on the dog's head to make the photo more authentic. Unfortunately for the officer, we don't believe he accounted for dog breath.
Medical Bills Be Like
The widespread belief that healthcare is a right and not a privilege is something that some countries struggle to understand. However, several countries have instituted this belief successfully, and guess what. One of them is Canada. Just look at this person holding up a bill from a hospital in Canada where their daughter was born. Yes, that's right, the man isn't holding anything because it cost them zero Canadian dollars.
This man knows what's up and is unlikely to be running south or anywhere else for any health care. This is incentive enough to immigrate from your home country to Canada.
Moose Are Just Really Big Dogs
Moose is an underappreciated animal that can be commonly found throughout the Canadian wilderness. Usually, their softer demeanor and a lack of scary growl make people expect them to be gentle giants. However, these animals can easily take down a large number of humans and even go toe-to-toe with your car. However, this image of a cat and a Canadian moose touching noses does not convey the terrifying energy that they possess.
Although, if we are going to be honest, cats are sometimes the most ferocious animal in our households, so it's no surprise that this moose has some respect for the feline.
Even the Moose Celebrate Pride
Canada is a vast country with a smaller population than one would expect from such a large country regarding its land mass. Due to the difficulties in organizing a proper celebration of Pride due to the lack of human bodies in the country, it would appear that they have started recruiting wildlife to join in on the festival every year in June. Just look at this young moose waving a pride flag on the side of the road.
It is nice for the LGBTQ+ community to know that they will be accepted in Canada by its people and wildlife. What a wonderful image to capture.
How Canadians Protest
This Canadian protest or march wanted to be sure that everyone out there understood their message. These friendly folks even went out of their way to create a helpful triple Venn diagram to illustrate their points. They compared those opposed to vaccinations with Canadian Geese and Toddlers and found some surprising similarities. Their topics included that one "can't reason with them" and Toddlers and Anti-Vaxxers both engage in the practice of "incoherent ramblings."
However, if we are going to be honest, the most on-point comparison is between Anti-Vaxxers and Canada Geese, which, according to this chart, both "want everyone dead."
Apologizing for Internet Arguments
For some unknown reason, commonly referred to as the human condition, people are unable to discuss politics peacefully. Usually, in the rest of the world, a political argument will end with tears and a hoarse throat. This is not how it is in Canada. Here we see two people arguing about the politics of Justin Trudeau, the current Canadian Prime Minister, and they end up both apologizing to each other for their argument.
This is even more astounding, given the fact that this argument took place over the internet. We believe this might be the first documented apology to have ever happened on the internet.
Mother Nature Lives in Canada
Throughout the world, many wonders and fascinations leave the mind reeling from the beauty and glory of it all. Anything from the Eiffel Towers to the Great Wall of China has continued to amaze us from afar. Little did anyone know of such wonders hidden in Canada, such as this beautiful sculpture made entirely of flowers and different plants. They come together to shape a beautiful woman offering water to all.
The woman's statue is made entirely of flowers as if she is the physical manifestation of Mother Nature. And the Canadian citizenry has been keeping this all to themselves.
Graffiti Is Done Differently
Graffiti is a problem in most cities across the entire globe. Usually, graffiti is used by gangs to mark their territories. These graffiti marks often contain curse words and not-so-nice language about people's mothers or their activities. This is not the case in Canada. Here someone graffitied on the side of the bridge, but instead of saying something nasty, their message is quite pleasant. "Have a good day," the graffiti reads.
As graffiti has become an art form for many people, it has gradually improved, but only in Canada do people spray paint graffiti to send everyone well wishes.
Dogs Get Their Own Bathrooms
Dog owners everywhere understand the struggle of taking out their dogs and ensuring they go to the bathroom. This is especially true while traveling because it is embarrassing when your pet has an accident in a public space. In Canada, they are aware of this struggle and have bathrooms such as these available to owners of our furry friends. This bathroom has an indoor grass mat and a fire hydrant available for the puppies.
This bathroom is incredibly adorable and is so cute that it is impossible to not smile at the idea of taking your dog out to the bathroom here.
The Hottest Hair Styles Are Frozen
The weather is notorious in Canada for being absolutely freezing. While many people throughout the world can say they have felt the cold, there is nothing quite like the biting cold in Canada. Don't believe us? Just take a look at these people getting out of the pool. As they leave the water, their hair freezes in place as the water-drenched hair hits the below-freezing temperatures that are often associated with Canada's winters.
These are some artistic hairstyles going on here. Honestly, this seems like a great and efficient way to style your hair. There is no need for any type of product.
Free Scarfs
Everyone has heard the saying that "there is no free lunch." In simple terms, this means that nothing is free. While this might be true in most of the world, that is not the case over in Canada. Someone has crafted scarfs and attached little tags saying that there are indeed free for anyone who needs to have their neck warmed. Leave it to Canada to create a culture where you can actually find things for free.
Not only will these beautiful scarfs warm our necks, but they also warm our hearts so much. The world needs to be more like Canada with its free love.
Hockey Sticks Make for Great Social Distanced Checkouts
One of the most significant problems in our modern society, with the ease that comes with credit and debit cards, is that of scammers and hackers. People can easily access our card numbers and then go shopping. In Canada, to increase our confidence in using our cards, they let us pay by giving customers the machine to check out. It is even more Canadian to create this socially distanced and secure form of paying by using a hockey stick.
Honestly, only a Canadian would use a hockey stick in this manner. Turns out that hockey sticks are also great at allowing those coming through the drive-thru line to check out securely.
Such a Festive Dog Outfit
In Canada, festivities are just as much fun and meaningful as in other parts of the world. In the colder months in Canada, they hold a sourdough festival where they have a dog outfit contest. This person made their dog is wearing a First Nations beaded blanket. It serves a dual purpose, it keeps their doggies warm and makes them quite the contender in the outfit competition. Hopefully, they will get first place.
The photo of the dog wearing the outfit and looking up into the sky is also one that conveys two meanings. The message is that this dog is majestic and oh so cute.
Store Is Left Opened and Unattended and Nothing Is Stolen
During the holidays, it isn't easy to find people who are willing to work. There are specific incentives such as additional pay and other perks to working, but it appears it didn't work at this store. They ended up leaving the store unlocked with no one working over the holiday. When returning, they found that nothing had been stolen and only a bag of cherry tomatoes had been taken, but someone left money for it behind on the counter.
It appears that Canada is one of those places where one can leave their doors open and unlocked, and you can be assured that nothing will get stolen.
Canadian Northern Lights Make for a Good View
Besides the beautiful terrain, snow, mountains, and other landmarks that dot the surface of Canada, its sky is just beautiful, if not more so. Here is captured the view pilots receive while flying through Canadian skies and shows a close-up view of the Nothern Lights. So if you are not going to Canada for its beautiful landscapes, you will find more than enough to see within its gorgeous night sky.
This image works not only as an incentive to go to Canada but also as a great incentive to pursue a career in commercial flying so you can always have such views.
Minister of Defense Is Just Like Everyone Else
In most of the world, politicians are their celebrity brand. While everyone has their movie stars, singers, and artists, they will also have star politicians who have all become household names; however, that does not seem to be the case in Canada. Captured in the photograph is the Minister of Defense, Harjit Sajjan, waiting in line for his groceries like all his fellow citizens. In most other countries the politicians are more than wealthy enough to have people do this for them.
The fact that the country's Ministers will have to wait in line like everyone else means that even the most powerful are just like the people they represent.
It Is Not Always Winter
One of the most familiar images people have of Canada when they have never visited is that the country is a frozen wasteland. Always snowing, wild beasts running amok, and darn cold. However, this couldn't be farther from the truth. The beautiful country of Canada may get more snow than the average location, but they also graced with gorgeous seasons and beautiful landscapes. Just look at Algonquin in the fall time.
The Fall colors are blossoming over the lake, and this person is enjoying their canoeing session across it. In summary, you will get a bit of every season in Canada.
Even the Parking Tickets Are Nice
A common trope about Canadians is that they are some of the nicest people who will apologize or give a compliment at the earliest opportunity. Even the Canadians are aware of this, as was pointed out here. When this person got to their car, they saw a piece of paper on their window and immediately assumed they were receiving a ticket. However, once opening the piece of paper, they remembered they lived in Canada.
It was not a ticket, but a note that read "Nice Car." Once again, please leave it to Canada to leave compliments instead of fines on people's cars. Only in Canada.
Satellite Dishes Are Communal Cat Heaters
Okay, so while Canada may get all of the seasons, it is notorious for getting really darn cold for many months throughout the year. It is really no surprise that it gets so cold with Canada being so far north. Unfortunately, this also means that many of Canada's animals must suffer through the cold, but these cats have found a solution. This person's satellite dish gives off a tiny bit of heat, and the cats are taking advantage.
Captured on camera is evidence of these cats discovering the dish giving off heat as four felines cram together to share the dish's heat. Looks nice and cozy.
Don't Leave Your Children Unattended
Every country has a sign similar to this one. This sign outside of an establishment in Ontario reads, "Unattended children will be given an energy drink and taught to swear." In America, this sign often warns that they will give any unattended children a shot of espresso and a free puppy. While the message is different, the sentiment is the same. Do not leave your children alone, or they will get a sugar rush and learn a new skill.
Canadian children must not know swear words if it's a concerning enough idea to scare parents into action. Better than most of the world's children who already know all the four-letter words.
Nightly Light Shows
Usually, a light show will cost money and require pre-planning to get yourself there to appreciate the experience. Fortunately, Canadians are getting free light shows all the time at no additional charge. In a Canadian neighborhood, someone captured a moment in the Canadian night sky where the Light Pillars in Saskatchewan were fully displayed. It might just be worth moving up north for the free entertainment provided by Canadian nature.
Honestly, between the scenes, the nature, and the beautiful landscapes, it is a wonder that not all the world's artists are making a beeline for the Canadian border.
That Is Not a House Cat
Every country gets its own wild beasts. In America, for example, it is not uncommon for people to find deer hanging out in their backyards in specific parts of the country. However, they are getting something more intense in Canada than a gentle deer. Canadians have to deal with the likes of bears, moose, and, apparently, big cats. Just take this person's photo of a cougar waiting to be let into their home.
Even the gigantic cat breeds are friendly in Canada. Just look at how polite the cat is as it waits for someone to let them into their home.
Basic Survival Necessities Include Beer
During extreme natural storms or weather events, it is normal for people to prepare by stocking extra water, food, and supplies if someone is not able to leave their home for a while. In Canada, its citizens are ready for possibly getting snowed in with their massive snow storms that can leave people stuck in their homes for extended periods. Take this person; for example, they have pushed a sign out their window calling for help.
However, instead of needing help escaping from their snowed-in home, this person asks someone to go out and get them more beeIndeeduly, this is a desperate situation.
"Please Do Not Be Offended"
In the country of politeness, Canada, there is an expectation that the country's citizens will be extra kind and polite in all situations. This includes and extends past the social requirement that people will hold open doors for you. However, holding the door open is not always best when discussing secured buildings. So what do you do? This apartment building has posted a sign to apologize to people for its residents not holding the door.
The sign reads, "Please do not be offended," and explains that it is because this is a secure building where one must be buzzed in. A sight you can only find in Canada.
Always Open-Minded
Canada and its Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, is known to be more liberal than conservative in their policies and social standards. Here, over Whatsapp, someone shares a conversation they overheard where a group of Canadians share with a British national how progressive and accepting they are of everyone. However, their standard of being accepting of all people breaks a bit when they discuss how their friend David is "marrying a french speaker."
Canadians might not care if you are bisexual, gay, lesbian, or anything else. However, their smile might drop a bit if it has anything to do with the French.
Tidal Pools at Botanical Beach
There is something for everyone to love in Canada. From winter sports to Canada's unique wildlife, there is something everyone can find for themselves out in this northern country. Even for marine biologists and microbiologists, Canada has you covered with these beautiful tidal pools that dot the Botanical Beach in Canada. Now that we think about it, not only will biologists love these, but this view will inspire photographers and other artistic people.
These pools of water look so pristine and beautiful that they could easily inspire the artistic urge in anyone, and for sure, in someone in touch with their creative side.
Lidless and Compostable Coffee
Canada has always been one of the more progressive countries with regard to their efforts to make a difference in the environmental impact of their country's people. One of these efforts is that of lidless coffee cups that people can get in Toronto. Even better, these cups are not only lidless but are also compostable. Now the tree hugger in you can feel rest assured getting your daily coffee without hurting the environment.
This little design change is also immensely comforting to all those coffee drinkers who have been scared every morning that their coffee lid might not be on tight enough to avoid some spillage.
Animal Bridges
Most people are aware of the impact that roads and other human infrastructure have on the natural wildlife in a region. Across the world, there are warning signs about the danger of hitting animals while traveling on back country roads. This is due to the streets cutting off animals from their natural migratory patterns. Luckily, in places such as Canada, they have installed these land bridges so animals can safely cross the roads.
Not only does this mean animals can continue in the habitual migratory patterns without getting hurt, but it also saves human lives by ensuring that animals won't be causing car crashes.
See Across the World
A few dozen miles outside of Seattle, Washington, is Mount Rainier. This mountain is nearly 15,000 feet in the air and is popular for vacations and hiking. While this mountain may reside in the USA, it is visible from Canada, but due to the curve of the Earth's surface, only the tip of the mountain can be seen. Nevertheless, it is still quite a sight to behold and yet another sight to see in Canada.
Seeing across hundreds, if not thousands, of miles shows that there is plenty of beauty to see and enjoy in Canada. Regardless of the distance or the location, it is in.
Accessible Traffic Lights
On Prince Edwards Island, there is a type of traffic lights you have never seen before. Instead of the standard three lights on top of each other, there are four. Two are squares and then a circle and a triangle in the middle. The reason for these oddly shaped traffic lights? So that the color blind can tell which light is on. The squares are stop, the triangle is slow down, and the circle is go.
This can mean that Prince Edward's Island has a substantial percentage of the population being colorblind or just that Canadian are kind folk who think about all different types of people.
Changing Rooms in the Post Office
Within this Canadian Post Office in Vancouver, there is a little room off to the side for changing. Not every day can a changing room be found in your local post office, so it is a curiosity. The reason behind this addition of a changing room is so that people can try on their online shopping clothing items right then and there. If something is not quite right, you can return it right then and there.
This is probably one of the greatest ideas in the era of online retail shopping. How often have we unpacked a clothing item to discover it didn't fit? Wouldn't this be helpful?
Defacing Canadian Bills With Spock's Face
The Bank of Canada had to make a special request to the people of Canada to stop defacing their bills. The reason? Because there was a massive surge amongst the public, they were drawing Spock from Star Trek, face all over their five-pound bills. If enough people of doing this that it requires the official Bank of Canada to step in, it makes it a fact that Canada is filled with many Trekkies, Star Trek fans.
Anyone out there who's a fan of Star Trek will find themselves amongst their people in Canada. Although, those who are bigger fans of the Star Wars universe might have a difficult time.
Ottawa Pedestrian Walking Sign Promotes Silly Walks
Apparently, the Canadian population, or at least the Canadian city of Ottawa, are fans of Monty Python. On one of their pedestrian walking street sign, they depict a person who appears to be doing a silly walk across the crosswalk. The hilarious Ministry of Funny Walks skit must be quite the thing in Canada for it to end up on the country's capitol's official pedestrian crossing signs.
We do have to wonder about the practicality of this. We have to assume that it takes longer to silly walk than to walk normally across the street. Thankfully, Canadians are patient.
Polar Bear Shaped License Plates
One of the fun aspects of becoming wealthy is the newfound ability to customize license plates. However, this customizability is reserved only for the license plate's symbols, letters, and numbers. Unfortunately, one cannot change the actual shape of the license plate. However, in the Northwest Territories of Canada, it is possible to customize your letters and numbers and get a polar bear-shaped license plate to make your car the coolest one around the block.
This one is going to make all the polar bear lovers make a beeline for this region of Canada. Do not be surprised, Canadians, if your DMVs suddenly get pretty busy.
Their Vending Machines Hit Different
People in the United States of America and in other parts of the world have recently had marijuana go mainstream with the opening of dispensaries across our countries' cities. While Canada has made marijuana a legal substance, they have a different sort of dispensary that pairs nicely with the munchies. That is this cake dispensary. It is a vending machine, but you can actually order a slice of cake from it.
Not only is this a fantastic idea for anyone suffering from the munchies, but anyone who might want a single slice of cake no longer needs to buy an entire one.
An Introverts Home
Those who are more introverted than extroverted understand the quality of alone time. Of course, it is still essential to get out there and socialize with other human beings now and again. However, we can understand the desire to run away to some private island now and again. If this resonates with you, Canada might be your home, as there is a small house on a tiny island just off Canada's coast.
Notice the lack of a bridge. This might be the perfect home for isolationists rather than introverts. We also don't see a boat, so maybe this is a forever home.
The Homeland of the Giants
Until now, we were unaware that Canada was not only the homeland of maple syrup but also snow giants. At least, that is what the scientific evidence would suggest. Just look at this photograph of this person standing next to a pair of feet. Feet whose ankles are taller than the man sitting next to them. In our humble scientific opinion, it doesn't get more irrefutable than this. Of course, before all the scientists start screaming, we need more evidentiary examples.
Okay, fine, this is not evidence of snow giants but someone's artistic recreation of human feet out of snow. Still, if snow giants would live anywhere, it would be Canada.
"The Cold? Never Heard of It"
Another descriptor of the native Canadian is that they might be impervious to the cold. These northern people seem utterly incapable of feeling the cold. Proof is provided below as students walk to school and one of the lads is wearing a pair of shorts while marching through the snow. At least he acknowledged the fact it was snowing my wearing a hat, but apparently his legs just don't seem to feel the cold.
The logic here seems flawed. If one is wearing a coat and a hat then it would also he logical for one to wear pants. However, that's not the case in Canada.
Snow Fortress
Everyone has built a sand castle or a snow fort, but no one could possibly imagine building anything larger than a miniature version. That is not the case in Canada, with their massive snowfalls they have more than enough material to bring our childhood dreams to life in the form of a gigantic snow fortress. We are sure that the kindness of Canadians also made this kind of project of possibility.
Do we think its possible to rent a snow fortress for every winter? If such a service doesn't exist then we think Canada is missing out of a potential market.
